BASIC INFORMATION for NEW STUDENTS
Age Groups We are gently organized into three groups based on age: Jardim I for the youngest children, Jardim II, and Jardim III. This is not a rigid structure because we consider each child's level of development, and there is interaction among the groups, so all the staff and children know each other.
Hours of Operation (Monday - Friday) Full day: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.; half day: 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. School Calendar
Fees $80 full days; $65 half days Enrollment requires a monthly commitment.
Health Information: The State of Alaska requires children in childcare centers to be up to date with immunizations. Girassol's preschool program does not accept immunization waivers for religious or other personal reasons. Our staff is committed to helping promote the good health and wellness of our children and the entire community. Our health policies and procedures are developed with the guidance and approval of our medical advisor, who is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and practices medicine in our community.
